Island Terrain Scene

As part of my game idea i need to create some sort of beach or coast line around the island. Using a pack purchased from the Unreal Engine Marketplace, called Low Poly Foliage Jungle Pack, I used these along with some YouTube tutorials to create the island.

 Ocean texture

Blueprint editing to make the ocean texture more transparent. The end result would be more suited to a lake or smaller body of water so it is something I might return to on the final build

Blueprint edits to create a custom material to paint the world. This material features 3 layers of Stone, Sandstone (closest substitute for sand) and grass.

 Put the ocean back in

I decide to build a small shack to make the island a little less bare

The problem I had with this other than slow loading times was that the textures on the cylinder posts did not form around the entire post. Instead the texture starts again on each face of the post.

Post Youtube Tutorial

After finishing the Youtube tutorial I used the open end of the office to add my own section. This was made up another office, single partitions and a spiral staircase leading to the roof. Because I blocked off the open side of the office it is no longer lit by then sun so areas are very dark. I will need to look further into lighting options for use in my final trailer.

Initial Unreal Build

Following the 11 step tutorial on Yotube I created the office space shown. The office features a sliding glass door, 2 part divided rooms and varied props.
